Yes, it was rear engined. No, despite appearances it didn’t have anything to do with the 126 (or indeed the 127, despite further appearances). It was actually derived from the 850

They designed it to look like a larger 126 though! :)
I’ll take an 850 sedan any day though....is it weird that I like the 850 sedan more than the Coupe? :P

I totally agree, I love the 850 sedan! Cutest car ever made, but still with the notchback 3 box look. Love it.
